A Forgettable Brogue
Caught Cillian Murphy's new Irish movie, "Breakfast on Pluto" tonight.
Murphy plays a boy who wants to be a girl and who is abandoned at birth by his parent. He grows up in Ireland but goes to London in search of his birth mother. It's set in the midst of the struggles between British authorities and the Irish Republican Army. And there is an interesting emphasis on the evolution of popular music as the story moves through time.
But the Irish accents made it hard to understand the dialogue and ultimately, I'm afraid, it's a forgettable movie.
