High Cheese on the SS Christmas

Went to The Grove tonight to see the new movie, "The Producers" -- nominated for four Golden Globes.

It was really funny and made me wish, even more, that I had seen it on stage in NYC with Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick rather than here in Hollywood with Jason Alexander and Martin Short.

If you dislike Mel Brooks' sense of humor -- this movie ain't for you. But I liked it because it's very theatrical -- very true to the stage version of the show.

While at The Grove I happened upon "The Top Hats" -- photo above. These lovely ladies arrive via The Grove's trolley car and proceed to dance a few numbers to Christmas songs. Kind of like a poor man's Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular.
