Went to a screening last night of "Sherrybaby," for which Maggie Gyllenhaal is nominated for a Golden Globe.
Gyllenhaal plays an ex-con junkie trying to reclaim her life and to again be a mother to her daughter. It's a heart wrenching film.
Gyllenhaal was on hand to answer questions after the movie. I was impressed by her frank comments about how she argued with the film's director.
