Sig Alert on Hwy. 99
Fresno is the largest city in America without an Interstate Highway running through it.
An estimated 20,000 Fresno State University Bulldogs fans descended on the Coliseum for tonight's game against USC.
As I'm writing this they're probably hitting the Grapevine -- perhaps a little less enthusiastic than when they drove down to Los Angeles.
But Bulldogs fans have every reason to hold their heads high as their team matched up very well against #1 Ranked USC -- though the Trojans ultimately defeated the Bulldogs 50 to 42.
If I seem uncharacteristically humble, it's because I remember the Bulldogs beating the Trojans in the 1992 Freedom Bowl all too well.
Bring on the Bruins!
