I had lunch today at the Lever House Restaurant. You enter through a short pedestrian tunnel that creates an interesting forced perspective. The restaurant opened a few years ago in the famous Skidmore-designed Lever Building built in 1961. The design of this building (glass-skinned, set back from the street) revolutionized skyscrapers in America. The restaurant is beautiful -- all 1960s curves and backlighting. But I didn't really like the menu -- too much weird food for my picky taste.
