Reach Out and Touch Somebody

"Some Girl(s)" is Neil LaBute's new play at the Audrey Skirball Kenis Theater at the Geffen Playhouse.

Mark Feuerstein plays a Lothario who decides to reunite with four women he dated to make amends before getting married.

Not surprisingly, the women don't see the reunions the same way "Guy" does.

LaBute really is a master of dialogue between the sexes. And this show turns on a excellent McGuffin Alfred Hitchcock would have been proud of.

We had some excitement in the audience when the older woman seated behind me (who had been crinkling candy wrappers the entire time) got up about an hour into the show to go to the bathroom. Senior tripped and on the way down tried to grab the row of chairs in front of her but missed and instead ended up pulling the hair of the woman seated next to me. Karma is an indiscriminate bitch.
