Went to the Egyptian Theater on Hollywood Boulevard tonight to see the annual Christmas-time showing of the Warner Bros. classic "Auntie Mame" starring Rosalind Russell.
What a fun movie. After seeing it three times now I've decided it's my all-time favorite film.
What I noticed tonight was how perfect Russell's comic timing was. This was the role she was born to perform. And perform it she did -- on stage and screen.

I never tire of this magnificent film. Didn't realize that there was an annual showing of it at the Egpytian - what a wonderful venue to see it (I've only seen the movie on a television screen, sad to say!).
