Saw a surprisingly good movie, "The Island" tonight. This is another summer release that has disappointed at the box office.
It's a science fiction movie about human clones who exist to provide organ transplants for their wealthy sponsors.
Ewan McGregor and Scarlett Johannsen play two clones who figure it out and try to escape before they are sent to "The Island." When it's time to harvest their organs the clones are told they've won the lottery and get to travel to a beautiful island.
The best scene is when Ewan McGregor, as the clone with an American accent, kids Ewan McGregor, as the sponsor with a Scottish accent, about the way he talks.
Since Michael Bay is the director there are some way over the top chase scenes. But I thought it was pretty fun for a summer movie.
