Visiting the Mint

Spent all of today in the heart of the Silicon Valley, in the offices of a Venture Capital firm on Sand Hill Road in Menlo Park. Every wall in the entire suite of offices was filled with gorgeous modern art pieces.

The verdant hills in this part of Menlo Park are lined with very laid back office "campuses" -- low slung buildings clustered together that hug the terrain and embody the casual attitude the Silicon Valley is known for.

They're the kind of buildings where nothing is actually made -- except money.
