You can see our route in the photograph -- from left to right. We walked out on the catwalks under the roadway. Then we shimmied around the giant stone pylon. Just past the pylon we climbed ladders to the top of the arch near the pylon. Then we climbed up the top of the arch to where the flags fly. We crossed over to the west side of the bridge and came down on the opposite side of the bridge. On the descent the ladders took us in between the tracks for the commuter trains (one set of tracks for each direction). It was LOUD when a train went by. I know I was supposed to concentrate on climbing down the ladder but I couldn't help but wave at the people in the train. Posted by Picasa
