Since I was in Glendale I decided to check out the ultra-hyped new Rick Caruso lifestyle shopping center. It's like The Grove in Hollywood (which I like) only on steroids -- bigger in all ways. Actually, it's more of a housing development with shopping on the ground floor.

We were not impressed. Bulking up meant a loss of charm.
