Meant to head to the Colony Theater tonight in Burbank to see the new musical "The Immigrant." Unfortunately, 45 minutes after leaving home and a sig alert on the 101 in the Cahuenga Pass later, I was still in Hollywood at the curtain time. A quick call to the box office and they were willing to move my tickets to a different performance -- very kind, indeed.
I'd read earlier in the day that Thursday is Chicken Pot Pie Day at Musso 'n Frank's -- the oldest restaurant in Hollywood -- and I was thinking I'd have to wait at least a week to check it out for myself. Instead, with the show postponed, I turned around and headed to the restaurant. Turns out they serve a most excellent, gourmet c.p.p.
