Drove east tonight to Silver Lake to watch a funny sex farce called "Lust in Space." Think: frisky robots.
It's a take off on the 1960s TV classic of a similar name. The show is running at the Cavern Club Theater -- aka the basement of the Casita del Campo restaurant.
The show is very witty and does a good job of spoofing the TV show -- especially when the little girl's dramatic collapse brings the moment of the highest tension to a close. And the older girl's ability to scream at the top of her lungs gets some pretty good comedic treatment too.
The ability of various cast members to sing (this is a musical) varies, but all is forgiven in the search for a good time (and a ride back to Planet Earth).
