The last show I saw in New York City (10 shows in 7 days -- a personal record) was the Sunday matinee of Paul Rudnick's very funny off-Broadway show "Regrets Only." It's about a fashion designer who organizes a strike over a gay marriage ban constitutional amendment that shuts down New York City. Christine Baranski plays his best friend, a major socialite, who is caught between her husband (a lawyer helping the President with the amendment) and doing what she knows is right.
Paul Rudnick is well-known for his zippy, one-line jokes and he's on his game with this one. And NO ONE is better at delivering said jokes than Baranski. This show is a hoot and a half.

Happy New Year, Ted!
Finally had a chance to read through your trip to New York. Can't believe all the things you packed into it. Appreciated your heads-up on a number of shows, including Little Dog Laughed - now I wonder whether I will when I finally see it.
All the best to you in 2007!
Steve
