Went to see a new play this afternoon called "Lobster Alice." It based on the real-life time surrealist artist Salvador Dali spent several weeks in 1946 at the Walt Disney Studios working on a short animated film called "Destino."
And it imagines what would have happened if Dali had encountered the artist responsible for "Alice in Wonderland."
Seems like a pretty fun set-up. Too bad the show didn't go much beyond that basic premise.
However, Noah Wylie did a good job as the over-the-top Salvador Dali (is there any other kind?).
Spotted Mandy Patinkin taking in the show.
