City of Los Angeles Controller Laura Chick was the graduation speaker today at the Junior Statesmen Symposium on Los Angeles Politics and Government. The students found her speech on the importance of public service and political activism inspiring.

And I was happy to learn that her aide, Rob Wilcox, is a Junior Statesmen alum.
