Lunch on Friday was at one of my all-time favorites: Katz's Deli on the Lower East Side (excellent brisket sandwich). I also had a delightful conversation with my waitress -- we talked about the book she's reading, a local crime story in Friday's papers and the time President Clinton visited the restaurant. (OK, maybe it was more about me listening than a two-way conversation -- but I enjoyed every second.)
