Outsourcing My Vacation

I arrived in New Dehli this morning. The sights and sounds (though, so far, not the smells) are very overwhelming.

The streets are filled with people, cars, taxis, tuk tuks (photo above), dogs and even cows (which are sacred).

Venture out and you are assaulted by peddlers and beggers. I had one kid follow me for two blocks, making a pitiful face, trying to sell me candy.

I guess after a while you become immune to it. But as a first time visitor it's startling. Whoops -- my driver from the airport told me if anyone asks me if I've been to India before I'm to reply, "Yes, many, many times."
