Heading South
I spent Saturday night at the Pasadena Playhouse to see Charles Randolph Wright's new play "The Night is a Child" starring JoBeth Williams.
What a great show! A mother of three adult children escapes the anniversary of a family tragedy by fleeing to Rio de Janeiro. The show deftly deals with relationships, guilt and identity.
But the amazing thing was much of the play was set at the Ipanema Plaza Hotel -- a place I stayed in both 2005 and 2007. That sure brought back some fun memories -- as did the samba music.
