Spy vs. Spy
Went to the Directors Guild tonight to see a screening of "The Good Shepherd" -- a new movie directed by Robert De Niro.
It's about the evolution of America's overseas intelligence gathering during and after WWII. Much of the movie focuses on the inevitable professional relationships that develop between spies from different nations.
Clocking in at a hefty 2 hours and 40 minutes, the film could stand some good editing. But are you going to be the one to tell De Niro to cut 20 minutes?
Joe Pesci shows up in a cameo. Good to see De Niro taking care of the old neighborhood.
