Went to see the haunting movie "Babel," nominated for seven Golden Globes, tonight.
Starring Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett, it's a gripping movie. The main theme is even though technology has "shrunk" our world, we still can't talk to each other. (Get the name?)
The film weaves together people who are alienated in Tokyo, shot in Morocco, getting married in Mexico and obsessed with terrorism in America.
What so intense about the movie is the characters keep making decisions you know are going to turn out badly, even though you can understand why they're making the decisions given their circumstances.
