Drove around downtown Ft. Lauderdale on Sunday. Now I see why it is surpassing Miami as South Florida's "it" town of the moment.
Had a great late lunch at a classic downtown diner, "The Floridian" which opened in 1937. But if you go there be sure to bring some cash because as the cashier said to me they "don't take no credit cards."
I also saw "Being Julia" starring Annette Benning. She is rightfully nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Actress. It's amazing how she conveys emotions using her face and body. An impressive performance, indeed.
Monday evening is the Trojan pep-rally at the Fountainbleu Hotel. Can't wait!
