In a completely different vein, Saturday night I went to the Kirk Douglas Theater in Culver City to see the very interesting "This Beautiful City."

A theater troupe called "The Civilians" went to Colorado Springs -- home of Focus on the Family, Ted Haggard's New Life Church and the Air Force Academy -- to interview people of many different faiths.

What results is a portrait of a city -- at the foot of Pike's Peak -- that has become the epicenter of America's religious fundamentalism. And some of the folks there are quite happy about it and some certainly are not.
