After the show I dropped by the new upscale diner, Waffles, in Hollywood. It's best known because Los Angeles celebrity-chef Scooter Kanfer is in the kitchen here. (Actually today she was at the counter doing some paperwork.)

I liked the menu of diner classics, but I thought they took the "waffles" theme a little too far. Instead of french fries, they have waffle-cut potatoes, for instance. No regular crackers here for your soup -- waffle shaped crackers.

But I thought the cooking was pretty darn good and the prices reasonable. Next time I want to go for breakfast.
