The Trojans of USC defeated the Vandals of Idaho 38 to 10 in yesterday's season opener at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
The Vandals spent most of the game tapping their feet but they barely scored.
I kept waiting for them to reach down and grab a piece of paper in order to wave it like a white flag.
After half time the Vandals seemed resigned to their destiny.
