44 years on this earth and I'd never been to a State Fair. I'd been to the Los Angeles County and the Kern County Fairs. I read about various State Fairs in the newspaper -- but actually going to one had always eluded me. Until tonight, when I visited the California State Fair underway at the Cal Expo Fairgrounds in Sacramento.
