Crossing the Sierra Nevadas today from Sacramento I was surprised to see snow on the ground near the pinnacle. I guess it's that time of the year, whether I'm ready or not.

Apparently it snowed about 4 inches this morning, but the roads were clear and dry by the time I was on them in the late afternoon.
